Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas 1.6 million lobby enhancement project begins April 12, 2010, with an expected completion date of July 31, 2010.

The property will take the following measures to minimize the impact of this Lobby Enhancement Project on guests:
Work will be done only Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Work areas will be cordoned off from view and most heavy work will be completed during the first two weeks.
For the duration of the project, the Front Desk and Activities Desk will be moved to a clearly marked unit adjacent to the lobby. The four low-rise buildings will not be affected by the construction and will remain open throughout the project.
From April 12th through April 30th, the Aloha Tower, in which the lobby is located, will be closed. Effective May 1st, only the upper floors of the tower available to guests in order to create a buffer zone to minimize noise and disturbance.
Guests will be provided with cold beverages, snacks and cold towels upon arrival. Both the complimentary daily coffee service and the complimentary, weekly Mai Tai Party will continue throughout the renovation period.
Both the Day Spa and the One Stop General Store will be closed for the duration of the project. They will reopen during the grand opening in August.

Local attractions include Whalers Village and Kaanapali golf courses, approximately one mile away, Lahaina Cannery Mall four miles, Lahaina Town and Kapalua golf course, six miles, Maui Ocean Center, 19 miles, and Iao Valley State Park, located 27 miles from the resort.The onsite water activity center will arrange snorkeling, surfing, sailing, and other beachside activities. Guests can also plunge into the resort's three swimming pools. The fitness center provides a healthy way to start each morning, and the day spa offers massage therapies that soothe guest's aching muscles. Other amenities include a kids' program and welcome amenities, tour desk, daily housekeeping, laundry facilities, beach services, sundry store, free local calls, dry cleaning services, shuffleboard, and free parking. Dining options include Castaway Cafe.Hotel room/one bath, 520 sq ft, studio/one bath, 660 sq ft, and one bedroom/one bath, 1260 sq ft condos are available. The hotel room is equipped with one king or queen and can sleep up to two guests. The studio and one bedroom suites are equipped with one king or queen, or two doubles and a sofabed, and can sleep four guests.
