The overall experience at the Fairmont was exceptional. I was a little disappointed with the service at the breakfast cafe and Nick's fishmarket. However, the service at KO (their on-site restaurant) more than compensated for the cafe and Nick's. R and K our servers at KO's did evertything possible to make our dining experience wonderful. The hotel staff, concierge and front desk were so friendly and helpful. In fact I left a print that I purchased earlier and the concierge mailed it to my home to receive the next day. The hotel was beautilful and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his 60th birthday day, our adult daughter and her friends also had a wonderful experience. The bartenders at the pool were wonderful!

The hotel is gorgeous, but on our third day we accidentally left our camera on the dresser and when we returned it was gone. So that was a negative. The suite is big the bed is comfy and the location is great. You have to pay for an umbrella on the beach and if you don't and are anywhere near it, they fold it up, pull it out and take it away.. That's cheesy. Get food at the local stores and Kihei Da Kitchen, as food at hotel $$$. Breakfast for $30.00, but the fresh fruit is great. POG (passion fruit, orange, guava juice) and lei when arriving at the hotel is wonderful. All in all, a top resort, great experience, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

we had the full on ocean view on 3rd floor......great view of ocean from both rooms - sitting area and bedroom. Vary spacious rooms and clean. Pictures on website is exactly how it looks. The pool bar is very small for such a large hotel......so beware if you go during busy season, we went in mid-sept is not busy season and it was perfect. The beach is beautiful. WORD TO THE WISE IF YOU PLAN ON SNORKELING....do NOT go on a snorkeling trip, rent your snorkel gear from Maui Drive shop in the Waliea Shopping Center and go snorkeling right at the hotel. travel along the rocks towards the other hotels and you will see the same fish and just a many as you do at "Molokini" plus sea turtles because where the hotel is is "Turtle Town". I would definetly come back here. Best vacation since our honeymoon.

Overall the hotel was slightly disappointing. Having stayed at the Fairmont Lake Louise in Canada we were expecting the highest standard of room and amenities. Frankly the hotel looked a little tired and in need of a renovation. The beach was ok, very small with no activites to speak of. We ended up driving 30 minutes north to the Kaanapali beach on a couple of days during our stay as it had more life and activities for the kids. On the positive side the staff were very helpful and pleasant. We wouldn't stay here again.
